Friendly staff, great classes (they provide validated parking).
Honestly the equipment and classes are great quality and the place is often clean but most equipment is usually occupied.
The problem I had was that my sales consultant lied to me and wouldn't allow me to put on a freeze last May because I was traveling, citing that I had a corporate discount membership. I later realized I never got any discount to my monthly membership so she just lied to me, as confirmed when I emailed later to inquire about my membership type to the manager. I lost out on being able to put on a freeze for traveling, but because I didn't go a full 30 days away from the gym, the manager wouldn't honor this request retroactively either and said he could give a few guest passes to me. After telling him the guest passes would not replace that lost value of being able to freeze my account, he had no other help to offer and I guess that was that. So in summary, my account rep lied to me, costing me a couple weeks of membership, and the manager didn't fix it.

Do NOT buy anything at the Equinox Shop! They refuse returns. Even for unopened items within a 24 hour period. The sign is not visible to people with normal eye sight. It is on a small black sign in small white font. They do not mention this while shopping either. This is unethical and potentially illegal.
I purchased a $100 Hyperice Mini Ball. I never opened it and changed my mind within 24 hours. I was furious to find that I cannot return it. I am not interested in an exchange. I do not want to give them anymore money.
This gym would be amazing if they just replaced Andrea Burns with someone more service minded. Great location but absolutely horrible customer service on her part. Don't sign up at this location as long as Andrea Burns is there!
This Equinox is definitely smaller than other locations and packs a very large crowd, but is by far the best facility in Hollywood.

This Equinox is smaller than other locations and is attracting a much larger crowd then before as expected. The weight machines/weights are all crammed into a big square section and the gym extends much far back with a lot of stretching/treadmill room that could be utilized a little better. As usual with E, TOP-shelf amenities, especially the locker rooms/steam room, pool ect. It is definitely the best gym in Hollywood though!

I canceled my account in person with one of the managers here back in October 2017. I was able to get the October charge reversed but they have continued to bill me every month after and it's a major hassle to have to deal with every time. I don't think canceling a gym membership should ever be this much trouble.

For a new gym, they seem to have old equipment that hasn't been updated when the other clubs are.
If they bother to respond at all, the management gives you a long, passive-aggressive song and dance when you complain about anything - like the timers in the treadmill, or more importantly, the fact that the pool hasn't been heated properly IN MONTHS. They'll promise to get back to you with answers and they won't. And if they do anything to fix things, it isn't apparent in the result.
Then there is the matter of the constant hair that collects on the handles in the whirlpool. It took weeks of several members complaining for them to even check. It wasn't until I threatened to tweet photos that they checked. The evening maintenance crew doesn't often clean them, so quite often you are faced with gripping something that looks like a wig.
Luckily, there are much better Equinoxes in LA. I'd skip this one if I were you, unless you want to work out at what appears to be an expensive 24 Hour Fitness.
Good gym, looks bigger than it really is. It's new and clean and the staff is very friendly.
Cons: opening hours at night (they close too early if you sometimes have longer work hours); it could benefit from some more equipment. Some of it is always occupied and you have to wait or they don't have it at all (yet) compared to other Equinox gyms.

Club is GREAT but would like to see staff continue to keeping the club's straightened out even at the end of the day.
Sleazy slimy sales people. I signed up 6 months before this gym opened after being told that the price was going to be increasing $5 every two weeks thereafter...That was lie number one. They were still offering almost the same rate by opening. I also told Arman my sales guy that I didn't want to commit to a year contract. He said "The contract is for a year but we will let anyone leave with a 30 day notice. We don't want unhappy members here" Fast forward to 3 months and I ask if I can pause my membership while I am traveling for the month of May. They say "Sure you can pause it but you still have to pay" Huh?? Ok so I go join another Gym and make sure I can pause my membership and then email Equinox to give my 30 day notice and they refuse to let me out of my contract. I have asked to sit down with ARMAN my sales rep and the manager and they have ignored my request.
BE WARY AND UNDERSTAND THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS THE CONTRACT DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR LYING SALES REPS.

I honestly went in to sign up, but sales wouldn't honor my free day pass and start the membership 2 days later. They were really rude about it, two. So I left and didn't sign up.
All they would have had to do was start the membership 2 days later and I would have given them all the money.
They should have honored the pass and let me sign up after using it. Why would they be so pushy? It's hard to trust and even respect a company that does something like this.
It's a really nice gym. lots of natural light and big enough.
