This place is a rip-off. Complete rip-off and scam.
I paid them $700.
I went to 3 classes, got a chronic health issue which put me out of doing jiu jitsu pretty permanently and they wouldn't refund me ANY of the money back.

Before signing up here I looked up the reviews and they were great. The training was also really good and I learned a lot of new things. However, their billing system is a complete SCAM!!! Initially I was only interested in applying for the 1 month at a time terms but Herbert, front desk/one of the trainers was telling me how I could save money if I sign up for three months. He said that I can just cancel when I know it's the last month I want to attend. He also made me sign a contract for a "waiver" and agreement to that. Nonetheless, something came up with my family and I had to leave for a month out of the country. I asked them to credit me the days I was going to be gone so I can use my days when I'm back but they refused. Apparently, Herbert can only take your money but doesn't deal with billing. They only way to do so is via email with someone else. Good luck trying to reach any of them via phone. No one had mentioned that I can freeze my account whatsoever. I told him that I was really disappointed from that and I went to my bank to refund the money and they did. However, the gym kept charging me even though they knew I wasn't attending. Later on, they showed my bank that stupid piece of contract and they were able to take the money again. I didn't realize I'm signing up for an apartment lease and to have my freedom taken away to not do anything but their stupid Jiu titsu. I have tried so many times to explain to them how unfair and inconvenient this has been but they ignored all of my requests. They only offered me one month for free. What on earth makes you think I want to go back to you after what you did??? They want to teach you something good but they take advantage of you at the same time even if you don't attend any of their classes. Not only that but Herbert who was acting as a noble coach told me that he had bad feelings about me when applying. How rude!!! What kind of coaching or customer service is this???!!! I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Are you looking for jiu-jitsu instruction for your child? Look no further - the guys at HBJJ are head and shoulders above other places. I know this because we attended two other places before this.
Here's are the differences between HBJJ and other Jiu-Jitsu places in my experience.
1) Understanding children. These guys are here to make the experience fun even though it's in a disciplined setting.
2) Discipline. The instructors here keep the kids in line but with the right approach. There is no yelling or threats but they command respect from the kids because they give it.
3) Safety. This was my main concern based on my previous experiences. I had attended other classes where my child was not taught how to fall correctly and there was risk of serious injury in every sparring session based on lack of oversight and instruction.
This is NOT the case at HBJJ. The kids are taught how to fall and practice falling at the start of every session.
The instructors are skilled at keeping an eye on all sparring matches and end any match before an arm bar or other move risks hurting a participant.
I can't say enough good things about HBJJ.

Relaxed atmosphere with excellent technical attention to detail, from white belt all the way to black belt Hollywood BJJ can take you all the way, to a world class level. Highly recommend for beginners to advanced.

HBJJ is an amazing program with exceptional instructors (especially Master Tim) for young children. Over the past few years, our son has blossomed into a confident grappler. It's influenced all aspects of his development. We highly recommend it.

I live overseas and train at HBJJ every time I'm in town. The head coach Prof. Rodrigo Antunes is not only a great instructor but also a multiple BJJ champion with trusted credentials. Highly recommended for beginners to all levels to train at this gym. It is worth your time!
