shortly after moving to los angeles i looked for a gym proximal to my home. i was tired (and bored!) of conventional gyms and was searching for something different. in a city where gyms are a dime a dozen, i stumbled on f5 and was hooked almost immediately. i had never participated in a class format, nor had i ever had any experience with muay thai. all of the coaches here are very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. even within a class format they will take the time to tailor an exercise or instruction to a particular student if need be.
i have unconventional hours and f5 can accommodate them with classes early, mid-day, and evening. i attend some of the strength and conditioning classes but generally try and take as many MT classes as my schedule permits. as cliche and tired as it may sound, this is just as much of a gym as it is a community and the owners and coaches do everything they can to cultivate this. i could go on raving about this place but if you have any second thoughts about joining, dont! give it a shot. you will not regret it.
