Cheap and not super packed. The equipment is pretty new. They keep it nice and clean. The only thing I don't like is that they have a bucket of tootsie rolls at the counter. Like really? This is a gym.
Lindsay lacks professionalism. I couldn't tell if it was her "lack of training" or her naturally condescending attitude, why she's disrespectful. I called at approximately 10 a.m and was on hold for 17 minutes. Finally, I called a second time, wondering if this location in particular had preferred times when clients could speak to a representative on the phone. However, the same "thanks for calling, please hold" protocal before I could get a word out. I figured that they are probably busy, however, I'm curious why staff chooses to not inform clients about when the best time to return a call is to receive assistance and avoid being on hold for 17 minutes, what if an employee was alone at the front desk for 30 minutes while another was taking a lunch break? According to Lindsay "We simply put a client on hold until there's 2 employees at the front desk" and "by protocol, staff is trained to place a call on hold until 2 employees are at the front". Repeating herself when I explained how disrespectful this is to clients who prefer this location as there home gym and are treated as if they do not matter by protocol. Lindsay replies "We can't inform them of a better time to call because the person at the front has to worry about the clients present, that's our priority." That sounds like a lazy way of handling a high volume of clients at once, of course, if that was even the case here. Howard, please hire and train your staff accordingly. This was a terrible representation of the training of your staff at this gym based on my interaction with Lindsay.
I am a visitor at this location. My experience has been a very positive one. My fitness coach brings me here for our sessions. She creates the best combination of exercises and equipment for me to build on my fitness plan. There is plenty of selections, and always availability for use.
This location (especially after dark) is always crowded.
With no exaggeration, members are standing in line waiting for their turn on a treadmill.
If you're worried about security don't, just like all other planet fitness gyms this location has plenty of surveillance cameras.
Warning. Once again, this is a very crowded location with only two showers in the man's changing room.
I really like this gym and the fact it's 24 hours. Good equipment, plenty of cardio machines, clean locker rooms,/restrooms, friendly staff and great extra perks of massage beds and chairs. My only complaint is the Total Body Enhancement booths have so many burned out red light bulbs in each booth. I mentioned this to the front desk but didn't seem prompt replacement of bulbs
Cool gym. Plenty of cardio machines and not too crowded. Nice spacious layout and plenty of weight lifting machines. Clean bathrooms and large locker room/shower area. Love the location! Directly behind the Burbank airport so you can see lots of planes coming in and out. Just a little added bonus if you enjoy that sort of thing.
I live in phoenix az and my brother lives in north Hollywood and I love going to this gym. It's a clean gym with lots of great machines! I also got to meet Howard. He is such a cool guy! Has the place organized and is always attentive to everyone there. Also the environment is great too. Great memories here!
This place is a little too packed for my liking but I can always find a machine available so its not so bad.
I just joined, and the place is clean and not over crowded if you go during the day. It's really a big place with plenty of machines. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I had a year membership here till I decided to build my own home gym. My experience was not bad at all. The perks for the black card did nothing special for me. The message beds for the VIP's is sub-par at best and you don't get the time you think your going to get using them. There was never any issues with any of the members so that made transitioning from one area to another without any issues.
I love going to the gym here. Not to many looky loos. People actually go here to work out. I have been to other gyms where people stand around talking and blocking the workout equipment. Then i feel like a jerk asking them to move or if they are done.

Busy, but if you let people know you're waiting on a machine they're nice about it and let you know when they're done. Janelly (the trainer) is awesome, too!

Ehhh it's alright not the worst I've been to but don't bother with the hydromassage only 5 minutes most I've been to are at least 10 min some are 15min...but who ever accused Planet fitness of being consistent I don't think they even know what that means!

Affordable gym. Basic equipment. Weak showers. Nice hydromassage beds
Been coming here for 5 months love it tbh, it does get pretty busy but worth it.
I can be your nightmare, if you signed a contract for 20$ (Black card) per month and want to cancel due to your conditions. They do their best to waste your time for the cancelation. And you need to pay about 50$ to stop your membership. But facilities are good, place is clean. However, parking lost is always full.
Facilities are average. Parking always crowded and dirty. And watch out for those "contracts". They still very much profit from membership "breach of contracts" more than anything. Beware what you sign. They should be routinely audited for compliance.
I actually like Planet Fitness and the price it offers. However the Burbank/North Hollywood location is ridiculously busy. With that many members they really need to upgrade and make the place bigger.
Clean gym! Great amenities if you're a black card member (or whatever they call it). It's nice to not feel self conscious for once at a gym.
It gets really busy during certain hours, especially right after New Year's (obviously). Great place for the price.

They have minimum wage employees managing client's accounts. I was fed some misinformation and ended up owing $250 because I was led to believe my account had been canceled; it hadn't. They refused to refund me, but not before leading me on a rabbit trail of "regional managers" and
"corporate employees" who could "help me further". No one returned my calls and they were more than happy to take no responsibility. Cheap gym for sure, bad people to do business with. Watch your back.
I love it. Been a member for about 4 months and haven't had any bad experiences yet. They have dressing rooms, showers, lockers. They have paper towels and sanitizer so people can wipe down the equipment after they use it, and mostly everyone does. It's open 24/7 so you can go whenever you want, any time other than between 5pm-9pm is empty, and weekends are empty too. They have lots of treadmills, mats, ellipticals, free weights, and a lot of different machines. The staff is always nice too, they even let me have a rubber band when I forgot my hair band. I used to have LA fitness and I loved their classes, that's the only thing PF is lacking. But other than that, I would totally recommend!
Don't expect much from cheapest gym in the area. This place is crowded as a beehive at any time of the day. And with prices as low as $10/mo - all sorts of vagabonds hangin out in showers. Never seen staff enforcing their own rules like no bags on the floors or wipe out machine after use. And there is no Free Haircuts for black card members too. Waiting for the end of my one year commitment to cancel my membership.
Lol at that dude saying this gym is for amateurs. I didn't realize only professionals can go to gyms. Anywho, cheap price and jogging distance from my home. I am still trying to time out my best work out times, but I never really have a problem waiting for equipment.
I used to not such a fan of Planet Fitness but as I drive across country every year my tomb has changed. There's a Planet Fitness to be found in every medium sized city and cannot be beat for competitiveness and price and consistency. For real muscle heads it lacks immediately heavier weights and if you time it wrong what there is is monopolized buy a group. That being said in most situations there's plenty of necessary equipment to get the job done. Numerous Smith machines barbells and dumbbells up to 75
For beginners only. Don't go here if you want to actually lift. People here don't know gym etiquette. They sit on the cell phone while resting on the benches between sets. Not to mention they rest like 5 mins between sets. Dumbbells only go to 75lb and there are no free weight benches or squat racks. Planet fitness is nothing but a cheap gym filled with amateurs.
I love that this place is open 24 hours because sometimes when I can't sleep I go to work out. Good facility. They have a good variety of machines and the place stays pretty clean. Sometimes during the day it gets crowded and I can't get the machine I want, but usually I come late so it isn't an issue. I'd recommend it.
I couldn't ask for a better facility! It's always clean, available 24/7, and the staff is friendly. With a black card membership, tanning is available, and you can bring up to one guest a day-an unlimited number of times! I like the stretching, abs, and cardio circuit training stations. Not to mention the group sessions they offer everyday (which target body parts). It's affordable, and there's a big parking lot for their huge location. Great job Planet Fitness Burbank!
My wife and I have been coming here for the past two weeks and so far so good.
We've been taking advantage of the black card and got multiple massages with hydrobeds and massage chairs.
It gets busier than other gyms, you just need to pick a good time, usually after 9pm or earlier than 6am.
They have lockers (you will need to get a lock), showers and drinking water fountains.
Each machine has basic drawings that are very easy to follow.
Staff is great and always nice.
The gym is open 24/7, is very clean and you would usually see the staff cleaning the floors and the machines.
Most people wipe the machines after use (the gym's policy).
At the time we signed up they had 2 memberships:
$10/month + $29 sign up fee with no commitment.
$19.99/month + $10 sign up fee with a one year commitment (1st month free cancellation, then it's $58 to cancel).
On both membership you'll be charged $39 annual fee. You can always upgrade and downgrade from one membership to the other.
The more expensive membership is called Black Card and includes free unlimited use of hydro beds and chairs, massage chairs, tanning beds and red light beds (Black Card Spa). It also gives you the option to go to any PF nationwide up to 10 times a month + bring with you a daily guest.

Great place. Parking is a lil hard to find. I go every day.
Pretty nice...specially for the price. One of the bigger ones that I've been too. Lots of room by the weight and machines. There are special little sections for abs and the 30 min. workout and lots of newer machines. Staff if always walking around and cleaning up and the bathrooms and showers looked decent. It's in the back of the plaza when you go in by the backside of the airport.
The gym is clean, and the employees are friendly. They can sometimes be completely annoying when they try to enforce the rules on the 30 min workout station. No one really bothers me and I can workout in peace which is nice. Also no rules on treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, and stair-steppers so I can use it for an hour if I liked to do so. This gym gets 5 stars from me.
