I've been going here twice a week most weeks for over 5 years. I started with the intention of getting fit from the inside out. I thought that even if I wasn't losing weight, at least I could be strong and toned. And I had been hearing so many horror stories from friends about back pain and wanted to avoid that at all costs. I knew my biggest problem with that was my total abhorrence to any and all stomach exercises. I kept hearing about Pilates helping your core and that it was very different than other stomach exercises, so I gave it a try. Well, either that's true and that's why i keep going OR I just like being in this studio and I like being with my trainer Erica so much that I keep doing it. Within a few months, everyone I know noticed a difference in my body. And now that I'm finally losing some fat, it's extra great because I can see how toned I am. And it's so funny because it's way more expensive than a gym membership or a group Pilates class but I think that helps me stick with it. I pay so much that I prioritize it! And I really just like seeing Erica and the other trainers there and even the other clients. It's very welcoming and laid back. And Erica always meets me wherever I am, meaning she pushes me when I have extra energy and takes it slow when I'm just not feeling it. No matter what though, I am always so happy with myself when I leave and proud that I didn't decide to cancel. It has given me greater strength and energy in general and I could not recommend Erica as a personal trainer enough. I also think the actual studio lifts my spirits. It has a great vibe, there's tons of windows, and all the trainers and clients are nice people. Just try it and see if it fits into your life as well as it has mine. Before this, if you would have told me that I would be going to a Pilates studio with a personal trainer twice a week, I would have laughed in your face. Now I can't imagine NOT doing it. In a word, life-changing.
