Initially I came to Amber on a referral from a good friend. I had injured my back and knee and was limited in what I could do at my regular gym, Equinox. I had never done Pilates previously and had the strange notion that pilates wasn't really "working out" I kind of assumed Pilates was the housewives interpretation of working out LOL boy was I wrong! I asked Amber not to be too nice to me but to give me a serious workout and wow did she ever! I found new muscles that I previously, had no idea even existed. To my surprise, I was definitely sore (love this) for the next few days.
Amber was very informative while giving direction all in a very calm manner. She explained every move, what it was working out and why. Amber paid very close attention to my form, which happens to be EVERYTHING in pilates and I really appreciated this. My injuries stemmed from bad form or laziness at the gym and look where that got me.
Thanks to Amber I am a full fledged pilates nut! Im obsessed!! its a full body workout that is low impact! When they say that Pilates will give you a whole new body, BELIEVE IT! I haven't been so lean in my entire life and I will never go back to conventional gym training for a long long time!
