I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and also taught yoga for a short time. I've been attending classes at Yoga Shelter Studio City for a number of years now and thoroughly enjoy the experience. The teachers are honest, well-educated, passionate, and creative. The classes are challenging, but open to and accepting of each individual's experience. I expect to continue my yoga practice at Yoga Shelter for many years to come.

I like that (Kimberly's class) the only one I ever experienced at Yoga Shelter, is very open and not so rugged with "rules". I actually took a yoga class at the gym where the teacher told us we all had to have the front of our yoga mats lined up with each other in a straight line. Then the teacher proceeded to give us a 10 minute lecture on the meaning of a handful of yoga words. NOT a fun class!

I am a 58 year old woman who has finally found her yoga home...close to home. I love the teachers that draw really great vibe clients. The teachers are just right also.

I really enjoyed the class I took but I didn't like that they ask you to pay to use a mat. Most other yoga places have mats available for use for free.

I love Yoga Shelter! Every one of the instructors are incredibly welcoming and are there to push you to your limits recognizing the strength in you, even when you second guess yourself. I am often WORKED when I leave, but I know they pushed me try new poses and push myself more than I thought I could. At the same time, they won't call you out if it's just not your day (which happens to everyone!).

My first time doing yoga at one of there slow flow classes and I'd say it was an amazing experience to say the least. staff was friendly and made my first time comfortable as well as positive.
