The staff in this area are awesome. the place is clean and great
Special gym. This review is long overdue. Been training here for 4 years now. I was looking for a no nonsense place where I could train olympic lifts. Found this place and dropped by to sign up and pick up a key the very first day that I moved into the area. Haven't looked back since.
You simply cannot beat the price, equipment quality, or training atmosphere that this gym offers. I love the 24-hour proxy key, bumper plates, and wrestling mats, features that are usually difficult to find all in one place. All levels of lifters are welcome.
Mike, the owner, is a great guy, super friendly. 4 Star has a long history within the community dating back to 1969 and we're lucky to have someone like Mike keeping this gem alive and thriving.
An institution of El Segundo. Since 1975, at least!!! Old school gym!

Excellent gym. If you are into powerlifting, this is the place to be. You'll run into big powerlifting names from SoCal and there is always an abundance of knowledgeable people if you need any advice on your squat, bench, or deadlift. It's not rare to see someone rocking 4+ plate (405) squats for reps or pulling 5+ plates.
Best gym in town.
Awesome gym! Michael was able to give me a tour of the gym prior to me joining and the amount of equipment tailored to power lifters is amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough if your goal is to become as strong as possible. Plus as an added bonus it is accessible 24/7! Love this place!
