I have over 700 hours of massage therapy and bodywork training and I can say that Anne is the finest bodyworker I have ever met. After signing up for 10 sessions with her for a lifetime of low back pain and knee injuries I'm finally seeing results. Doctors, physical therapists, massage therapists, spiritual gurus, etc. No one has given me the results I get with her.
If you are someone who's looking to get a painful deep tissue massage that is not her. She is an expert in the movement field (dance advisor to Shape magazine, voted one of the best Pilates instructors in Los Angeles) and in manual therapy. The type that believes that blockages and tensions should be GENTLY removed and the body will heal itself. Google craniosacral therapy or visceral manipulation and you'll see what she's about.
Yes she is an extremely logical and analytical person but that is what makes her great. Would you rather have a shaman or a mechanic fix your car?

Cold and condescending from the beginning-
I actually tried to be extra nice thinking the intensity was part of her technique. Upon further examination it seems indicative of a personality disorder. She tried to not give me my 25% off for being a Blue Shield customer (which is where I found the place.) She acted like I was was cheating her when it was the other way around. Her home office is not welcoming or clean and the pets are extremely distracting. She was disciplining her dog throughout my entire session. I left so tense and anxious that any possible benefits were undone. Also she left the door open even though I was in my underwear. Another male client even waited very close by. There are lots of other places around that are better and more affordable. I actually gave this place a second chance because she owed my money from the last one but I will definitely not be returning. Run far away from this place-it's not worth feeling worse than when you entered! Also she does not clean her hands between touching pets and touching you!!! I had to take a shower and a bath when I got home!

I bought a rolfing groupon and went to see Anne. After the sessions, I left with muscles feeling much more relaxed than usual. However, the day after the sessions, I was amazed. The chronic tension in my lower left side back was decreased by over 90%. It's been over a week, and the relief is still there, and I'm in awe.
I just accepted the pain was something I'd always live with, and I don't even complain about it. Anne explained that there was some torsion, with a nerve plexus trying to stabilize it, causing the tension. She very gently manipulated the area and released whatever was going on. I'm very grateful to be experiencing relief in this area for the first time in over 10 years.
Anne is an intuitive, intelligent healer who is constantly studying and learning in order to help her clients.
I've been back several times, and she is able to find the issue without my telling her. She does the work to release whatever is being twisted/compressed/tensed up for a long time. She's remedied issues with my with lower back, hip, neck, and more.
The studio is in Anne's home, which is neat and clean. She has a dog and several friendly birds.
