Addicted to this studio. If you haven't been. BOOK NOW! Get your sand and sweat on. Its fun creative and hard work. The instructors are amazing, informative and engaging. I've been feeling and looking stronger since coming.

I went to sandbox fitness for a month, and I loved the work outs. They were challenging, but not outrageous. All the instructors were helpful and welcoming. I felt very strong the month was done.

I am not a gym person at all. I like to run on the streets by myself and that's pretty much it.

One day my mom came to visit from abroad and she got very curious when she saw a class going on through this glass window they have upfront.
She told me she wanted me to try it out with her and since the 1st class was free I was like "why not?"
-BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE!

Of course, I signed up right after I took the first class..I will be going on my 3rd month and I couldn't be happier. As I said before, I don't like gyms, but this place is amazing. The classes are fun, the teachers are fun and just the whole environment makes you want to do better and get better (physically).
I literally recommend this place to everyone I meet.
My favorite class is Surfset, (They have videos online on how each class is like ).
You should definitely try it!
I already see a BIG difference in my body since I first tried. My arms, My shoulders, my legs...Everything is getting toned much quicker than I thought.

Keep up the amazing work guys!

This studio is fun and always keeps it interesting. As a yogi, I love any workout where I can be barefoot. There are a variety of classes to choose from. My personal favorite is Surfset Strength. Its a fun and innovative way to recruit all muscles and activate your core!

All the instructors are great and welcoming and seem to know about anatomy and exercise physiology.

I wholeheartedly recommend this studio!

My only suggestions would be to add more Surfset Balance classes to the schedule and to have more late classes, like an 8:30pm.

For my 1st time, Minna from Sandbox Fitness greeted everyone warmly. Things started off with signing our lives away on a waiver. Then it was time to get down to business in the sandbox! Quick warm up jog on the soft sand and light stretches at the different stations.
We paired off at each of the 4 stations. I started off at the resistance band station. Then moved my way to what I thought was the hardest, surfboard standing, a balancing act that I became better at by the 4th round. Next up, upper body strength training, finishing up with kettle bell like exercise of squat lift weights.

Cool down on mats with yoga like stretched and poses finishing in child's pose. Very soothing after this great interval training session!

Sweat it out at this awesome fitness place. With plenty of yoga and Pilates places on Ventura I needed a place to break a sweat and challenge my workout routine. Surfset, Sandworks, and Tidal Turbulence all push me to challenge my body and work on building my strength and staying in shape. Minna and David are incredible instructors and keep the routine changes so you never get bored. And with sand under your feet, you work harder, but it's less impact on your joints.

This is a really fantastic place for workout! I am kind of a lazy person for sports. Before coming to Sandbox Fitness I did not do any workout for about 5 years. I just got bored on any sport classes I took before.
I do not know how they do it, but I am going there for 3 month now, and not only going but enjoy it!) Not only going but feel stronger and more happy with myself - I am not the lazy one now, I am working out 5-6 days a week) Maybe it is the sand that makes it more fun, maybe it is the loveliest dog Oakley that is often there during the classes, maybe it is super friendly and fun people we work out together, but I do not only workout there, but also have fun. The last but the most important role is of course belongs to the trainers, there are not only professional, but also very motivating.
