Very small, old equipment that was barely working, bad location, not at all a pleasant experience here. There are far better LA Fitness locations out there. This one has to be one of the worst
It opens at 6am on weekends, which is very convenient for all of us who are earlybirds.
The equipments are a bit old and not well maintained. Lighting was average which made the whole area a bit dark. It was weird to take elevator to go to the weights and cardio areas. Lift was old too.
Loved swimming in the pool. Had to stop. Too much chlorine. You should change to saltwater pools. Too bad. I really enjoyed myself. Not worth a week of chemical burns from the chlorine.
Very clean no scum no dirt and plenty of equipment with jogging space.
So I've been to 2 locations in Long Beach the one Bellflower and this one on Pacific Coast Highway and for my personal preference I like this one a lot more it's older then the one on Bellflower but at the times that I go im i'm able to get my workout done without no problems now I've only been going there for 2 weeks and I went to the Bellflower Location for 2 weeks also so will see but for now I'm sticking with the one PCH.
This has to be one of the worst la fitness. The staff does not care about anything. I have never seen any of then putting away weights or even anywhere besides the lobby. The other members at the gym have no type Of gym etiquette. Weights are left everywhere, free weights aren't racked after using the machine, and nothing is cleaned. Overall it's an absolute terrible gym and staff.
This place has gone to super hell..... The lady in the spinning blasts the music SUPER SUPER LOUD !!!!!!.... Went too the Soo called Gen Mgr......Still no luck... On going problem !!!!!
They Don't LISTEN To Current Members Complaints !!!!
But they sure want you to BRING IN GUEST and FAMILY soo they can try to sign them up....

Today told Maria the problem as she did was goto the spin room and just waved at the spin class.... And did not inform them the music is Soo loud...
Be warned !!!! All they care about is too sign new members only to get there sales quota and fat commission check.. .

Been a member since Nov 2017. I really like being able to work out here. As with everybody, during week especially...time is of the essence. The elevator is slow as Moses for several months and then died. It took weeks to repair. They have no access for disabled people and that's a shame. Im facing dbl knee replacement n had to walk all those steps. Was crawling up the 3rd level. Half of their lockers are sawed into the mdf. Scarey, wth?
Seems their classes are virtually dead also. Finally they r closing down for almost four months. Really ;( This was close for us and we commute.
They also need to set limits on people on telephone and tying up the machines. I do like it for what does work. Enjoy their pool andJacuzzi. Weekends are less busy! Hopeful for better facilities real soon.
How this dump got 5 stars is beyond me. I stopped going the moment I stepped in and totally changed my gym due to lack of sanitation and the dread of infection. You couldn't pay me enough to enter those showers sauna or swimming pool or walk without shoes with a cesspool of flesh eating bacteria left over from nasty unbathed bodies.

Absolutely love my gym. The staff there are always so nice, friendly, and kind. They always say hello and smile when I come in. Thank you LA Fitness employees for making my visits pleasurable. Everyone should have an LA Fitness membership! #longbeach #pacificcoasthighway

Been coming here for years now good gym, but it can be cleaner aka the restrooms and they do take forever to fix something the steam has been down for months now.
I love the fact that the classes are included in the membership, there's a sauna and pool. The locker rooms and pool area at the PCH location could be cleaner. I'm always finding food around the pool area which is nasty to say the least. The staff is really friendly and helpful tho.

Much better place than other fitness centers I've been too. It's clean, nice staff, variety of exercising equipments, personal trainer available and swimming pool which is a plus!
Need Staffing to monitor consumers not putting weights back and the cleaning this of the facility is not appropriate enough also it should be mandatory that every consumer brings in a towel and be checked to have a child regarding Sanitation
I like the set-up of this gym. Several floors separate the types of workout equipment. I went there a few times. Always nice.
My car was broken into today, in their owned parking structure. My dashcam, my school bag and my This isn't the first time it happened over there. No cameras in the whole lot. Couple of days prior, there was a lady who had her locker broken, and her stuff stolen too. Watch your stuff carefully.
They really need to change a lot of stuff starting with closing times. Make it 5am to 1am please, I don't like to go to 24 fitness. Also put locks on all storages instead of making us bring our own locks. If you go there, make sure to check out the little cold pool, it's a relief.
Great place but they did not allow you to read the contract right away they kind of pressure you through reading the contract they do let you read to certain amount of time but they want the paper sign there and then they're not going to give you an hour or so so you can finish reading everything you expected to be a Flash Reader
The upkeep has gotten so much better than before. Weekend are buzzer and people forget that there mother isn't there to pick up after them. But I enjoy my gym at the traftic circle in Long Beach
Wonderful gym atmosphere with an indoor track and pool for an affordable price. What more coiuld you ask for. Staff is on point as well keeping everything clean and safe for every gym member.
I used to rate this place a 4 before. But it's started to sink. Weights are usually not racked. Some equipment padding is used up and showing wear & tear, for some reason there are now 2 missing cable pull handles (close grip). And the lockers don't fit a full gym bag. And parking is non-existent from 5 to 8pm. And I score it a 3.5 of cleanliness. There's always some part of the gym that has not been cleaned ie stairs, floor, walls, bathroom, lockers.
Not a bad gym. Funky design as the layout is on 3 floors. Nonetheless, everything you need for a good workout.
I really like the swimming pool. 4.5 feet deep, which is excellent. Miss the steam room. Jacuzzi is great. I've been attending here for a long time, since it was Bally's. Much cleaner now. Locker room could use some upgrades. Maintenance is pretty good.
Nice amenities. Large size jacuzzi. Miss the steam (wet) sauna room. Great location. Plenty of parking and close to bus stop. Upgrade made a few years ago was needed. Enjoyed location since I was a Bally's member.
Been going to this location for a while because it's the closest to my house. equipment is fairly new. Pretty easy to navigate throughout because of the 3 floors; 1st floor is the pool/locker rooms, 2nd floor has all the weight equipment and indoor track, 3rd has the cardio equipment.
This place is disgusting! Not only will you have to walk to through the gross bathroom to go up to the gym, never mind the naked old dudes. The equipment never gets clean and everything is all over the place. The most annoying thing is that the trainer area in the third floor is a restricted area, even though it may be empty, literally empty, they won't let you use it. It makes absolutely no sense.
Love this particular gym... Been working out here for years.
The gym used to be Bally's and LA Fitness took over few years ago and they upgraded with many new equipments. It has a free parking and conveniently and easy access to freeway and not far distance from the beaches.
Place is overy subscribed..too many people! It is inadequately staffed with young kids left in charge of the place at night. If you want to use dumbbells forget it! They frequently are left strewn all over the place and it takes a search to find them. There is no attempt by staff to compelling members to put their weights back when finished. Sometimes there is either no air conditioning or inadequate air conditioning. ANARCHY is the word which describes the place best and corporate just does not care!
