Great team environment. Genuine coaches and members looking to not only better your skills--but build character for a respectable and responsible individual.
The gym/dojo is also well kept and clean.

Awesome place to train! My 3 kids and I love it. Manny and his team are great coaches and really care about the students and the quality of the academy. My daughter loves the women role models at the academy as well!

Great Coach and very understanding environment. Wonderful kid classes with enough instructors to focus on each child. They offer encouragement and so dedication to their art of Jiu-Jitsu. My family enjoys every moment there.

I've been coming to Strive jiujitsu Academy for almost 2 yrs I've began taking my son and Professor Manny who is a black belt is one of the best coaches that I've been around. Along with the other great coaches at Strive that are purple belts and blueblets . Really tremendous family oriented environment!!!!

Friendliest environment Ive ever experienced in a gym and the black belt coach is the best coach Ive ever got to work with over the years. Bathrooms are also clean, and i enjoy the showers after training!

Originally I was hesitant to join a jiu jitsu school because I have a bad right shoulder that is susceptible to dislocation but when I met Manny he assured me that I could start slow and he would make sure everyone is aware of my injury. Manny made good on his promise and now I enjoy every class. Everyone is super humble and you get a great workout in the process. Thanks Manny!

We signed our kids up for kids jiu jitsu class and just love the instruction the coaches give. They really want the kids to show respect to them as well as other students. The kids have fun and look forward to going to class. They have learned so much and have gained self confidence and technique. If your looking for a school in or near lodi i can tell you the kids will enjoy this place and make lots of new friends.

I just turned 50 years old and I've been training here for the past couple of years. Mr. Manny Rocha is not just an expert at his craft, but an incredibly kind and respectful person. He is always mindful to keep my limitations in mind, but always there to push me a little more when I need that too. And the instructors under his leadership are wonderful people and practitioners as well. Never once have I had any sort of run in with any other students either.... It's respect all the way, all the time.
And it's not just BJJ, or boxing, or MMA... if you just want to drop a few pounds, or get into shape, this place has everything you need to get the job done. It won't be easy, but with their direction, guidance, and support, you can do it.
If you are 5 or 55, this is the spot for you. I love this place, and love the people.

There truly is no way to fully explain how fantastic Strive Jiu Jitsu & Fitness Academy is. To begin, the leadership and knowledge of Professor Manny Rocha and other coaches at the gym is superb and you can rest assured knowing that you will be receiving high quality instruction from certified instructors. Classes range from children's/youth jiu-jitsu to adult kickboxing and jiu-jitsu as well as women's self-defense. There is literally something for everyone to take part in. Beyond this, there is no better example of a family friendly gym than Strive has been. I train in the adult's class and can say, without a doubt, that all of the members that I train with have become family to me. It is a tight knitted group of people from vastly different backgrounds yet we all come together to help one another. Everyone is as friendly and welcoming of an individual as there could ever be. Whether looking to compete in official tournaments or simply looking to get in shape and learn self defense, Strive Jiu Jitsu & Fitness Academy has it all. I strongly encourage and urge all to come and visit the gym, which offers a free week trial to see if you enjoy it. Strive the epitome of a family friendly gym and deserves every bit of a 5 star review.

All of the coaches foster a caring environment while pushing each kid to their very best. They understand kids aren't 'one size fits all' and work with each kid to the best of their ability. I train in the adult classes and can't recommend this place enough as a place to train striking and jiu jitsu. The coaches are fantastic, the teammates are welcoming and helpful, no one will ever make you feel out of place here! And they do a 1 week trial for anyone who wants to start!
