I'm not sure I can accurately describe how much I love this gym, but I'll do my best....
About 6 months ago I decided I'd had enough of my jelly belly and needed help. I'd heard a lot about CrossFit, so I googled gyms in my area and came across Mission CrossFit. It took a few days (actually it was more like weeks), but I finally got my big butt in there, and boy am I glad I did.
Being so out of shape, I was incredibly nervous my first day. I was immediately put at ease by Justin, my trainer for the day (he's also the owner). He went into great detail and thoroughly explained every aspect of the workout for me, making me feel less pathetic than I felt. I was completely drained after that first WOD, but I was pumped and excited to come back for more. I must say I was extremely sore those first several days, but I knew it was because I hadn't worked out in a very long time.
Six months later, my fitness level has grown immensely and I couldn't be happier. However, I'm not sure if it's my desire to see how strong I can become that keeps me coming back every day at 5:30am, or if it's the people. The coaches and other members of this gym are just amazing. The positivity and camaraderie are awesome! There's always someone motivating me to be better, and to keep my head in the game when I'm ready to give up during a workout. Mission CrossFit is a family and I'm so glad that I'm apart of it.
