The DTD Children Self Defense Program here and "only here" is so REAL... I'm impressed with the truthfulness on how these kids and my daughter can effectively defend herself in a REAL Situation of Verbal and Physical Bullying. Our family has been coming to this training center for several years. Gridlock Jiu Jitsu is our second home. My kids have been training with the coaches' kids since they were 3 and 5 years old. We love this place. Everyone is very welcoming in this family oriented environment.
Some have said that it's overpriced. This is not a fair and accurate assessment because I also compared pricing against other centers. What they charge is fair. The quality of training you get is unparalleled. The coaches have over 20+ years of Gracie jiu jitsu experience.
We are so glad we found this place. To see the confidence grow in our kids is extremely rewarding. We will continue to be members of the center for many more years to come.
I have trained at many places around the united states, but this is my favorite spot to train. I'm a cross country truck driver. I love Gracie Jiu Jitsu Self-Defense and its realistic approach to situations that i have seen happen on the road. The owner Mark has over 23 years of Gracie training and it shows. He's very polite and very approachable. Over the phone he was very helpful, even when i told him i was in Florida. He gave me some tips on what to look for in an instructor and academy. His approach to self-defense is so real and filled with common sense. He's trained only under the Gracie Family, Grand Master Helio Gracie, Grand Master Rorion Gracie, Grand Master Rickson Gracie, Prof. Rener, Prof. Ryron and Master Royce Gracie. His attention to detail is like no other instructor i have trained with. I always look forward to coming back here to the west coast.
A GREAT PLACE TO TRAIN! I used to train here for a few years and first hand can say in Jiu-jitsu having street applicability is the core of the Gracie self defense system and this gym offers this approach. FOR THOSE WHO THINK ITS OVER PRICED YOU ARE MISTAKEN. The owner Mark help me when I was going through financial issues and for this I thank him and im grateful. Mark being the owner can work with everyone's own personal goals and needs, other gyms wont do this for you.
