I travel a lot and so have visited many LA Fitness gyms in the area on a daily basis. This one by far is my fav LA fitness. Not too crowded. Clean pool and friendly staff. Timing is also much better compare to some.
I fell from the stair master because it was not working properly. I called to speak to the manager. The manager never called me back. I had bruises all over both of my legs. The stair master would not stop and it was going so fast. I screamed soooo loud that a customer at LA Fitness came to help me. LA Fitness all they care about is collecting money. They don't give a damn about customer service, about safety of clients or anything that has to do with complaints.

I joined LA fitness about 2years ago, I lost about 15 pounds, more energy, more healthy and in a much better shape
I work out at Planet Fitness and it's much better. This place charges you quadruple just to pay a bunch of losers to walk around and give you advice on how you should be working out.
I worked out at LA fitness as a guest for a few times and I've had enough. 24-hour is the same way. They're 4 times as expensive not because they have better equipment but because they wanna pay more losers to walk around doing nothing.
Jam packed, classes are average. It isn't bad, but I prefer other LA Fitnesses.
I guess i'm not the only person who felt this gym staffs are very rude and there is no considered customer service at all. I just made a phone call to ask one thing and the guy who answered, didn't even tell me his name, voice tone was very bothered by my phone call and hurry to answer my question even before i finish asking, then hang up on me. This place management is very bad. I guess ppl either don't give a them about their customer service or just like to use the equipment and facility. But i still believe someone has to speak up. If there is negative star I will give it.
My favorite "cycle" class on Monday at 5:30pm.
This is a smaller gym and not very bustling, but the equipment is excellent. The benches, for example, are regulation width for powerlifting, unlike most commercial gyms with those unformfortable and frankly unsafe narrow benches. Also the rack on the benches is adjustable, so you can set it at just the right height for you. Plus the rack doesn't have that annoying hook shape that makes it harder to do a liftoff. This gym also has a lot of Hammer Strength equipment for accessories, which is a lot better than that Life Fitness and Star Trac junk found elsewhere. I do wish they had more squat racks and a deadlift platform. Oh well. Can't have it all. For a commercial gym, this is a great one.
Employees are rude to their customers. We didn't want a damn service from this god awful place, so we asked for a refund. However, these guys refused to give out our refund. Just saying, these guys are thief's and they take ur money.

Got to this gym at 7:30 am . AC in the second floor not working. Walked in to a member complaining. Changed to go into the sauna and it was not turning on. Front desk said the manager will turn it on they come in at 9 am. Talking to other members they say tge sauna is a problem because only the manager can turn it on and they always have problems with the AC. The sauna is NOT 180 degrees like it should be. I will be complaining to corporate. If your looking for membership don't choose this facility. It is a nice gym but if your in the heat inside and your choking on the chlorine fumes in the pool area due to no ventalation of the AC you will regret it.

The facility is pretty clean most of the time. It does get pretty busy after work hours, but fortunately a lot of people go to the classes there and use their other amenities. It's nowhere near as packed as the 24 hour fitness that's a block away.

There is barely room to stretch anywhere, only about two long mats (6 people) can stretch in the whole gym under the stairs(except in the empty room if there are no classes at the time your here). The floors every where, including the changing rooms, are carpet I can't imagine how moldy it must be, it always smells and feels damp and super cramped. It is off the 5 and jamboree, for the location it is too small and unkempt. Also, the spa is dirty, the grout looks old and moldy. This place needs an update, maybe invest some money to upgrade. I drive 5 miles past this location for another LA fitness.

Moreover, the managers would not do anything to improve poor conditions which were reported by members. For example, because I observed that many members who use the swimming pool do not wear swim caps and don't take shower before entering the pool, I requested several times to put up visible signs to remind. In one occasion, one man came in the water with regular pants and sneakers. I could not believe my eyes. However, they have not done anything at all.

Have been coming to this gym for years, well at least paying for it for years! This is my fav location. Much cleaner than most but can get really busy. Attempt to go not during peak hours.
Can get busy, but is very clean and the staff is friendly. Amazing fitness class teachers!! I highly recommend trying them all to find one that fits your personality and style.
Solid gym, has older equipment compared to other nearby LA Fitness locations. Luckily they have round plates so it's a good place for Deadlifts.
This one is clean and safe. Brian the operation manager is awesome. Martin make sure everyone and everything is in order and running smooth
Friendly, knowledgeable staff, clean well maintained equipment. Easy to workout mid morning.
Great gym over all. My only complaint would be that the machines aren't really properly arranged together. First time there I had a hard time finding specific machines to use. The free weights are a little out dated and the people who use the equipment NEVER rerack their mess. Get ready for lazy gym goers not putting back their weights. Pretty annoying. But oh well... I'll probably just go back to LA fitness near the 405 fwy & Michaelson.
Great facility with lots of equipment and a helpful and charismatic staff that share all opportunities and ammenaties this gym has to offer.

The equipment is due for an upgrade. I like the bigger screen TV's and the 2nd floor is overlooking the ground floor but the gym equipment is what matters most in a gym.
