I am a person living close to this la fitness, so one day I walked in. Daniel, who is the personal training, gave me a tour and I then decided to join the membership.
The Sales named Noah, he told me they have two packages. When he saw I was hesitated to join, he offered me discounts so I chose the 49 Initiation fee and 45 per month. During payment processed, I found I didn't take my wallet, so I said I can pay it online when I back home. Noah tried his best to block me and finally I paid it by online bank in his desk, the way I didn't like.
After I went back home and checked their website, I found the membership online is cheaper than the one Noah provided to me. Actually he increased over 100 dollars when he gave me first offer, then he tried to keep me by a FAKE discount. But he still charged me extra 5 dollars per month, and I think that is the reason he didn't want I pay online to avoid I found the true prices.
Next day I met Noah and he claimed he has no idea about the online prices and it may temporary. Another lie, as a sales, he clearly knows their membership prices online and it is not temporary at all. I canceled my membership but Noah still tried to keep me by offering 5 dollars off and I said No.
That is my total story in here. As you can see, they used poor deception and lies in order to getting extra 5 dollars from customers. The sales must thinks his customers were from last century so they don't know how to use network. Or they never go to high school so they don't know basic calculation.
So everyone wants to join them, be careful and make sure you check their website first. Also for the sales, I really hope you can have a smarter fraud next time.
It's good value for your money. This gym has good layout, airy feel from the floor to ceiling windows, and good equipments. As a Signature Club, you get towel service and the showers have body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. Recent renovation of the ground floor has been a nice refresh. Of the six LA Fitness clubs I've been to, this one is by far the best one.
Huge club! It is very well organized and so much space. The parking is right next door in the structure and is all free. I really like that they offer towels to all the members.
I signed up online for $40/month.
1) The club is centrally located in a very nice retail center.
2) There is plenty of parking.
3) The equipment and facility are in top notch condition.
4) The crowd is mainly professional adults.
I can't say I have any complaints.
Been member here for nearly two years. In the beginning, this was a great place to work out. But that is not what I feel today. In fact, I do not feel safe at all using most of the facilities in this place anymore.
About the personal training...
They only sell 30 mins.. which is really actually 20 mins provided that the gym isn't crowded.. which is kinda impossible these days. I have had two trainers in this place, and one tried to upsell me with expensive gym products while the other made what I felt was inappropriate frat boy remarks. Also, don't count on having a quality personal trainer. The trainers join and leave this place so much, I can almost always see a new trainer at least once in a month.and it does take a while for a new trainer to get used to your routines. If anything, I find the place only good for starting out and that's about it. Towards the end of my annual session, after my first trainer resigned, I was simply pushed into which ever trainer and time slot they could find. Which was rather irresponsible at best.
About the crowd, well, it's packed unless u come in during odd hours.. and by odd hours I mean like 1 hr before closing time, or mid day between lunch and dinner hours - where everyone is working... They have constantly been recruiting members into the gym to the point that there are now shady members in it. I mean ppl who are mostly here for other purposes than actual gyming. It's hard to get a workout without getting interrupted these days by people with extremely poor gym etiquette.
About the showers.... One of the nails in the coffin to this place. Let's just say this place is weird. I once enter the sauna to find a Bible group in session, and not the good kind either, the kind that preaches hatred and racism.. I complained to the staff at the counter and he wouldn't believe it, won't even bulge to go check. There are also a couple of pervs who spent a lot of their time in the showers, they shower in full view of everyone and likes to hound particular gym members, including me... while some love to leave their used underwear all over and some like to snatch your towels. Which is why I fully protest the stupid decision that is the clear glass shower doors which they recently added... Which of course the staff similarly dismisses the situation as impossible, and one they refused to follow up on. It's only a matter of time before they get themselves in a lawsuit.
Seeing as I no longer could get a good workout here, and that I no longer feel safe using half of the facilities here. I chose to leave this place.
To all new members, know what you are getting into, the management here does not really care about the shady things that happens here. and most of their staff come and go so quickly that not many will actually bother to do anything about it.
Good Facilities, The staff is very rude and hostile, They are misleading when they tell you about the offers and they charge ridiculous amount once you are joined. Also, my I phone X got stolen from the locker and staff did nothing. Very bad staff will never recommend this to anyone
There's a trump supporter lady who changes every treadmill tv station to fox news. I wish someone in the mgmt team would stop her. And there's a weirdo guy who's always buck naked walking in & out of the mens sauna behaving like a creep. I love the pool tho and the new shower doors are nice.

Super luxury.But I prefer they have more privacy in shower such as separated place to take a shower.
Excellent facility all around with friendly staff. Easy access from SNA John Wayne airport with ample parking next tower. 2 hour free for visitors. All equipments were new and well maintained. Locker area was also clean and well maintained. Many thanks to Cody for great intro to the gym. Look forward to visiting again.
I've been a LA Fitness member for over a decade and I've been to several locations across SoCal. I've only been to this location once and I liked it a lot. All the equipment is new, very spacious, and an abundant of courts and exercising rooms. If you're a long time member like myself then you know how some fitness locations are rundown and cramped. This LA Fitness is not one of those, so you'll be a satisfied member and even a guest if you come here.

Excellent training environment, good equipment, great Sauna and swimming pool space to relax after training, very recommendable, when I am in the area, I always choose LA Fitness first.
Rude, unprofessional manager. Waited 20 minutes for him to activate my pass, He sat at his desk and completely ignored my existence. After 20 minutes waiting, he sent a new-hired employee who could not figure things out. Then he started training him how to activate a pass rather than taking care of the issue. I ended up leaving the gym for being treated disrespectfully. Terrible experience. It was my first and last time at this place.
What a great experience I had at LA Fitness while visiting my sister. If you are looking for a great gym, and very clean, you must ask for Noah. He made me feel welcomed and allowed me to workout during my stay. Wish I lived here. Would definitely join.
Good gym and well maintained but beware of the personal training plans. Got screwed over on mine. They made it seem like it was an hour I was getting only to find out its only 25 minutes and theres no way out of the plan without paying no matter how unsatisfied you are. As long as you only sign up for membership and not the personal training you'll be happy.
I went to this gym for 2 weeks while I was traveling and it was pretty good! The reasons they lost 1 star are: 1) Parking. You can only park in the visiting parking (the only free option) for 1 hour. After that it's about $1.25 per 15 minutes. This leaves no time after a 55 minute class to enjoy the sauna or do a bit more exercise. And 2) The yoga room is underneath the basketball court, so there are significant thudding noises. Other than that, it's good.
Love this gym. It's clean and the equipment is new. They have lots of good upper body machines and plenty of cardio machines. There could be more lower body equipment. It overall this is a great gym.
Very clean, new equipments, not crowded. I go there almost every day but I want to find another place. Too many kids in a small room"kids club". There is not a safe place for infants and toddlers. from 2 months ago the lady who worked there left and every day the staff has been changed. Many young girls at age 19, 20 work there. they are very young and don't enough experience. I saw a 5-years-old boy punch a little infant and the staff didn't care. During the summer near 15-16 kids have to stay at this small place.
Good location, the corporate office are next store so you know it's going to be clean. Staff is good but some members are more then a little self absorbed. Good weight area and even when it's crowded there is not much of a wait for equipment.
They allow dogs in side the workout area and locker rooms.
It's been here for over 1 and a half year. Me and my family are really enjoying this signature club. It is well managed and clean facility compared to other gyms nearby. The staffs are working hard and very friendly. Especially the cleaning staffs are working very hard to maintain this club as a signature standard. For example, this signature is way better than the one in LA. Also the receptions are real human and friendly. Especially, my family's favorite is Stephanie. She is super friendly. Two thumbs up. Thank you Stephanie!!
