My day started when I woke up at 5 am in the morning and I had a slight sore throat. I thought to myself, I'm good and hit snooze deciding that I will work out tomorrow. Around mid day I get the confirmation for a Circuit Training event! Sweet! It is time to get my lazy butt to an evening workout at Precision Fitness. The tricky thing about an 8 pm work is not to eat much. I didn't eat dinner but I had a small snack. I was listening to Hunger Gaming Catching Fire on my drive here and I was pumped but survival was going to be the keep for this workout.

Thanks Ryan for another awesome workout event! I wanted to try circuit training for a while now and finally got the chance, but immediately regret it within the first few minutes. "Ouch" and "yikes" were the two words that came out of my mouth after watching the trainers demo what we will be doing for a minute per exercise for 3 rounds. One minute is a long time. One minute of pull up and push ups? Don't mind if I do! Just kidding. The first round was the hardest for me. I didn't really warm up so my body was hating me but it was worth it. Just turn off your mind and let your body do the work out. I learned that technique from yoga and it works.

The good news I wasn't too sore the next day, however, my buns were hurting every time I sat or layed down I could feel the stiffness. In the words of the Nelly Hot in Here song, "checking her reflection and telling her best friend "I THINK MY BUTT GETTIN' BIG!". That is exactly how I felt. Now, 3 days later I can feel my butt again. Dang! I don't know if it was the burpies or the one leg squats but ouch! The workout is for real! My only highlight was I was told I have great form on my pushups and I did my pull ups :). Good to know I can do pull ups when a year ago I could hardly do one or two but after a year of working at it I got maybe 7 pull ups done.

Wow. This was intense! Make sure not to eat TOO much before doing circuit training ;)

My partner and I moved through each station that varied from pushups, squats, burpees, weights, pullups, rope, and balancing.

5 different stations, 2 different exercise types at each station, 60 seconds each exercise. Burrrrrrrrrrn!

And we had 3 different rounds of the 5 different stations which became harder and harder each time. O_O

You will be jelly-like afterwards haha.

This gym is my second home! Great community feel, comfortable for all levels. I've made a lot of progress and learned a lot about my body in the last year as a member.
