This was my first time EVER trying CrossFit, and believe me I heard lots of stories about how intense their work outs were. When I got there I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere and the positive encouragement I was given by the trainers and other classmates on my very first day in their workout session. They were all very patient with my level of knowledge each time I went in for a class, and continued to help and encourage me through each class too.
I'm almost at a month now with this gym and I absolutely LOVE it! I'm a very petite girl, and my goals were to build muscle, and in just the short time I've been going I've seen incredible results in how tone my legs & arms have gotten!
One of my favorite things about this experience is that it's been like having a personal trainer at every session you attend, giving you pointers on lifting, and technique changes for you to make your workouts more efficient. Lifting has been the most fun for me because it has given me the confidence that I am actually pretty strong, and I'm excited to see the progress I will make and how much more I can lift each time I try. The best part is that I can take these skills for lifting and use them for the rest of my life.
I also like that they are open 7 days a week, and they have convenient late evening classes during the weekdays at 6:15 & 7pm for you to come there right after work, and for me this has been a great!
I have been recommending this gym like crazy to everyone, because once you try it out, it's really not intimidating as most people make it out to be, it's more of a motivation than anything because you see people just like you at a level you want to get to and it's been very encouraging. It's just a bunch of people working on their own body goals, and pushing you to do the same. Keep up the great work CrossFit Newport Mesa!!
