Came in from Chicago on vacation. Wanted to keep our workouts consistent while away and Megan took great care of us! Got our guest passes activated right away and was super nice! The gym was clean and well organized. We will be back next time we come into town!

We were in town for Christmas visiting my brother. LA fitness allowed my husband and I to use the gym to keep those holiday pounds at bay! The staff was incredibly friendly and warm. They made us out of town guests feel like we were part of the family!

TERRIBLE experience with this gym, seriously! It's my first time taking the time to write a review, so that means they're that bad. I wanted to have a trainer for 3 months, but they only have 6 months contracts. Alberto, this guy is the worst, by the way, told me there was no problem that I could cancel after 3 months. I believe and trusted him because he seems like a nice guy. I came up to him after 3 months(in July) to cancel it, and he said no problem! Then I got charged $200 in August, I told him about it and he apologized and said that he would refund me. I waited 2 weeks, and I didn't get any refund... He told me again, sorry I will do my best. What do you mean you will do your best? Just refund me and cancel my membership as you said, period! In the meantime, I got charged again $200 for September. At this point it was ridiculous, I had to ask this guy Brock to witness my conversation with Alberto because he was lying to me. He finally told me, after 2 months, that he couldn't cancel it; he plays dumb with me like he never said that... Brock told me he would take care of me, yeah right not really. I got an email on September 11th saying that my membership was canceled, and Brock told me I would get a refund of only $200 in 3 to 7 business days. Basically, I lost my other $200 because it's the way it works apparently. AND they don't even get me my 4 sessions with a trainer for the other $200 that I lost, what a joke! Anyways, the reason I am writing this review now, is simply that I still haven't got my refund yet and it's been more than 2 weeks. I called Brock today and he said that Alberto is taking care of my account. I asked him to give me a call. I don't think he will, because he doesn't care about me, he just got a $400 for free. What an unprofessional service!!! I am a patient woman, but now it's been unpleasant and very frustrating. I just want this situation to be fixed! I understand that I signed a contract for 6 months, but the only reason I sign it, it's because Alberto told me I could cancel after 3 months. I should have been less naive and let him sign some sword of agreement saying that I can cancel after 3 months. I got my lesson, thanks...The only good thing about this gym is my trainer Dee, he was awesome and really helped me with my goals. But Alberto and Brock, not really...

I have had various LA fitness memberships with no issues in the past. Recently I went to this location and Osirus(sp?) assisted me over the phone with starting my membership. I explained that I just need the membership for 3 months to get in shape before my wedding, and that after the 3 months I'd be cancelling, he said no problem. I asked him if I would be locked into a contact, and if there would be any penalty fee for cancelling - He assured me I could cancel anytime and that I wasn't locked into a contract. Now I am trying to cancel and find out that he locked me into a 1 year contract and I have to pay a 50% fee to cancel!! I was lied to. I have called LA fitness, they said they would get back to me and no one has. I called the manager "Brock" in the HB location, explained the situation and he made it clear couldn't have cared less! I called back and asked to speak to someone above him and he hung up on me. Horrible customer service... I will never work with LA fitness again

Cool gym, better in the early morning, as it tends to get packed. Good equipment. Nice outdoor pool. Very clean.

I went in last night for a "tour" of the facility eager, and with an open mind for a healthier lifestyle. What I got instead was a high pressure sales assault by Max and some "personal trainer" ready to advise me on exercise, nutrition, and motivation. All I wanted was to see the gym. I spent three years in the United States Marine Corps, I'm pretty damn sure I know what to eat and how to exercise! I walked out of LA Fitness feeling like I was being sold a used car. I would tone down the bling, the bells, and the whistles guys. You're just going to lose clients with your pushy tactics.

One morning my trainer stacked way too much weight on the leg press machine and the next day my knee was huge and painful. I have been diagnosed with a torn meniscus and can no longer train with the trainer. They have refused to stop charging my card for the remaining seven months and I am out of pocket. I have gone all the way to corporate with this and they have explained that I need a note from my doctor saying I am completely and permanently disabled in order to stop drawing from my account. $400+ a month! I can't caution you enough to be careful signing any documents with them as they will not play fair. I will never step foot in another LA Fitness again.

Pretentious crown here, but gym is nice and new. Staff not at all helpful with my login/app issues. Took me 4 different gyms and 5 people to solve the problem. And, all I needed was a new member barcode. They all tried resetting my password. didn't work, like three different times. then, they told me to delete and reinstall the LA Fitness app, which I also did three times. LAME!

Nice clean gym! Plenty of equipment! Wonderful staff ... BUT OPENS AT 8AM SAT & SUN!?! Most anyone with a active lifestyle would like to workout before 8AM!!!

There are so many different thing there you could do but nothing is included in the monthly payment. The suana is one of my favorite things at la fitness but now you have to pay to use it. Scam. Just dropped my la fitness account

I've been to a few LA Fitness's around SoCal and this has to be one of the best. First of all people will put the weights back. Granted it's not always in the same place but you have to appreciate the effort. It's a fairly large facility and I've very rarely ever had trouble not finding a bench or a machine I couldn't work on. Great place w/ smart employees.

I also eagerly waited for this location to be opened - I live very close, and thought, I will bicycle and save gas. However, incredibly silly hours on a weekend - opens at 8 am - I was told "security issues, due to being in a strip mall" (Starbucks few doors down opens at 5 am), and the pool is small - 3 lanes and gets very busy.. Also, as they open late, there is STILL a pool maintenance going on, so it is impossible to even start swimming. The FV location is far from me, and the pool is even worse (one side only 2.5 feet deep).. Disappointed..

On vacation in Newport and went to La Fitness in Huntington Beach to workout. My membership expired two weeks ago as I moved back home and they don't have an La Fitness where I live. I wanted to use the gym for a day down here and went in to see if they would atleast allow me a guest pass for a day. I spoke with the manager Brock at the front desk and he was extremely rude and unprofessional. I couldn't believe the type of customer service I received after being a member for so long and coming in for just a day. The charge for the day pass wasn't the issue, the staff and customer service was. Wouldn't recommend this location as the employees and managers are extremely rude and unwilling to work with you. I was even with two current members and Brock still treated us like he didn't care one bit. He made it so uncomfortable we decided to leave and find another gym. Very disappointed in LA Fitness and their staff.

Clean gym, I live close by, super convenient. Terrible weekend opening hours. Who opens at 8am. The rest of the gym world opens by 6am during the weekend. I've multiple excuses, but non of makes sense.

The newest / best / cleanest gym in Orange County. When I moved here recently this gym was a big reason I chose to live in HB, the gym is an essential part of my daily routine and this place is so nice. It's well lit, plenty of natural lighting as well, and it's clean and well-arranged. The staff is awesome, I've become acquainted with many of them and they know me by name and welcome me everyday. Glad to make the switch back to LA Fitness recently, well worth it.
