Probably the most fun I've ever had dropping in. Great space with lots of room and gear for open gym. Shower facilities. Lots of top athletes, but a mix of all stages/abilities in class. Best pro shop I've ever seen in a gym. Craig and Yvonne were terrific hosts. A "must" if you are in the area.

I recently moved to California and have visited many of the CrossFit gyms in the area. They were all good, but Diablo CrossFit was by far my favorite. I am happy to be a new member here. The coaching is fantastic, the members are friendly, the facility is huge with lots of amenities, and they offer a variety of classes and open gym options throughout the day. Highly recommend!

Quite possibly one of the best gyms I've been to. Rivals Armbrust Denver, Metroflex Arlington, and the Lift Factory Las Vegas for the top spot as my favorite gym. Great equipment, welcoming staff, clean facility, and an electrifying energy about the place. Can't image a better way to spend a little time while my flights delayed back home.

A few years ago, my then-fiancee and I were looking to shed a few pounds before our wedding. We'd been going to a typical gym (ClubSport), but felt we weren't getting the results we wanted. Plus, it was the kind of gym I never felt at home in -- people doing curls in the squat rack, olympic lifts disallowed, most people tuned out watching TV while not pushing their bodies to improve. The typical gym atmosphere.

I'd heard about CrossFit, but didn't know if it was more than a fad. When we took a tour of DCF, I felt like I'd found my personal fitness Nirvana. Finally, a place where olympic lifting was considered normal!

If you haven't considered CrossFit, I would highly recommend it. It works, and it's fun! My wife didn't do heavy weightlifting in high school/college like I did, but she's a convert. It feels very satisfying to pick up heavy things -- heavier than you could before! The 1-hour format of the classes is a great way to get better-than-personal-trainer results for far less money.

If you want to do CrossFit, DCF is the best place around to do it. First of all, they're one of the biggest CrossFit boxes around, which means more classes to fit your schedule. And when you want to do your own thing, there's plenty of room and equipment.

The coaches are friendly and accommodating of people with different fitness levels -- no matter how fit you are, you can get fitter and stronger here.

Finally, Craig, the owner (former CrossFit Games winner in the Master's category) talks about wanting DCF to be a real community, and it is. There are a number of events and special classes outside the normal routine, but people also seem to bond and form friendships here to a surprising degree.

Followed the advice of a friend (Shari) and my partner (Mark) and I checked out Diablo CrossFit. I immediately realized this was not like any other gyms that I had worked out at before.
The coaches are great and their commitment to warming up, mobilizing, and stretching before workouts is really what sold me.

I've been a member of this gym for almost ten years, and I would still highly recommend it to anyone looking to get or to stay fit. The coaches are extremely competent, and always work to ensure you know what you're doing and that you don't put yourself in any unnecessary danger.

The gym is huge, and extremely well equipped. Anyone from the novice to the experienced crossfitter will find equipment all over the gym to use. Members can come in at any time during the gym hours to work out on their own, or you can come in for classes at almost all hours of the day.

The level of change that I've felt over the last few months is not only equal to the work that I'm putting in but also testament to the programming and coaching on display here. The noticeably large gains in strength that I've experienced without injury would not happen in a gym with less experienced staff. The sheer variety of body types that I encounter on a day to day basis here goes to show that anyone can do these workouts, with modifications to fit the individual. For as long as I am in the East Bay, I will remain a member.

They'll give you a good workout. Parking leaves something to be desired.

I took a free class with Riki, because, like a crazy girl, I have signed myself up for a Spartan Sprint in May, which is totally out of my (current) athletic reach. I don't think I really comprehended how much upper body strength I lacked until he asked how many pull ups I could do. "Um, none?"

He was super motivating to work with and the workout itself was very challenging. Running, pushups, pulls ups, squats... I'm not completely out-of-shape, just not very strong. And this class literally kicked my a$$ so hard that I could hardly move the next day. Sore from head to toe (but the good kind of sore, like a tiny constant reminder that I did something so good for myself).

I'd totally recommend checking this place out! I enjoyed the music and seeing other people working out at varying levels of skill. It was a good environment for both men and women and I really enjoyed Riki's coaching style.

As a previous Club Sport addict, and a runner, I needed a spot that was easy to go into, bang out a good, hard, hour-long workout, and get out, without checking in locker rooms, having social hour, etc etc. The coaches here are amazing, every time you go in, you feel happy you did, and worked harder than you'd ever work yourself. I lost baby weight from one baby, and then from the last (4th)- did it while pregnant with the last baby too. The yoga class is Awesome, and the vibe here is friendly, laid-back, but professional and always making sure that each member is taken care of. My husband joined too, and he is hooked as well. Can't say enough great things about this place.
