In the time that I've been working out, I've had memberships at virtually every corporate gym out there with a West Coast location (24, LA, In-Shape, Gold's, Anytime), and I can say that my time here has been some of the best I've spent in a gym since I started lifting and training seriously. This is a terrific facility. First, the basics. The already low-cost notwithstanding, the facility and equipment are nice, clean, and well-kept. I love the variety of music that's always on. The staff are incredibly friendly, and I have a trainer who unapologetically kicks my ass--with a smile on his face--every session, constantly pushing me to break past my limits (and I should add that training costs are pretty reasonable too, and worth the extra cash if you can shell it out). Now on to the more particular stuff. As somebody who has had previous training in martial arts and boxing, I can say that the 1-1 boxing instruction is stellar (the group classes are more cardio focused, and less about technique, strategy, etc.). There is a wide variety of Hammer Strength machines, which I personally love, and all of the basic weight-training equipment (where I spend most of my time when I'm not on the boxing) is there. Folks may find the facility lacking in cable machines and especially machines for lower-body exercises (no machine for ham-string curls, no leg-press machine for plates, etc.), but if you're a more experienced gym-goer you know enough to work around what equipment isn't there and get the kind of work-out that you need with no problem--and free weights are where the best gains are made anyway (assuming there's no medical reason for you not to use them or not to perform certain exercises). The owner/manager is very open to adding/bringing new equipment in when possible, and clearly puts customer service first. This is a great gym, and folks looking to make themselves better should definitely check it out!
