Three months of Mpower has been a life/identity changing experience for me. I've been a yo-yo dieter my entire life, usually going up and down 10 lbs, and over the years slowly creeping up on the scale. Also, I've been a runner, which normally how I stave off weight gain, but never had a body I loved. My race times never improved regardless of my efforts.
After 3 months of Mpower, integrated with my running, I went down 20 lbs and nearly 11% body fat! I went from a size 8-10 to nearly a size 4! I ran my fastest half marathon and backpacked faster than I ever did before!
Mpower is all women's gym geared with a focus on muscle competition. Please don't let that deter you. Members join at all levels of fitness, and the gym gears you to improve your fitness - period. It's a combination of weight/HIIT style classes, nutrition planning, cardio, and accountability coaching. I was happy to meet new friends to motivate each other, trade training and nutrition tips and recipes. The coaches there are sweet, energetic, and strong women. I appreciated their support and guidance.
This gym was a great way to help me get into a healthy routine, and I much needed the focus on form with experts helping me push my limits further. I can't wait to see what I can achieve now!
