I visited this gym when I was in town. The instructors were welcoming, the classes were challenging, and I learned a lot when I was here.
Amazing jiu jitsu school, would highly recommend to anyone starting out or experienced. They treat you like family, always willing to help you learn and teach you technique. It's nice to have encouragement and have someone always want you to get better. Will keep training at this gym and stick with jiu jitsu.

I highly recommend training at Cia Paulista and am honored to have trained there for over four years! Sensei Andre, Chris, and Nick are highly proficient and were great training partners.
Andrea is a wonderful instructor my daughter has been going there for couple months now. His wife is really cool too. Andre is always welcoming. Good with chicken.
I was a drop in student in a 7am class while visiting Sacramento. I received a warm welcome and great technical training. The collective proficiency and the friendly atmosphere make this a great place to learn and train. If I lived in Sacramento, I would train with Team Cia Paulista.
Met Andre at many BJJ tournaments throughout the years, and his energy always made him stand out from the crowd, as a competitor, as a coach and as a referee.
Finally got to train with him this year, and man was I blown away by his technique and his high level teaching! I'm a black belt my self, and not easily impressed anymore, but I've learned more from him in a day than from others in a whole year.
He really runs a tight ship at his Team Andre Cia Paulista Sacramento location, no BS, yet still fun and easy going environment to learn in.
Not much more to say, other then this guy is the real deal!
