My two daughters have been attending Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley for over a year now. From the moment we stepped through the doors we felt welcomed. The Bully proof program my girls are enrolled in is amazing and the instructor Aaron is beyond great with all the kids. My daughters have both grown and become so confident in themselves. They LOVE coming to class! After watching them enjoy it so much I have also joined! I take the Women Empowerment class as well as the Combatives class. I too LOVE attending class. If you are looking to get involved in a gym that cares about its students, is professional and has top notch training this is the place for you! I can't thank Johnny enough for creating such an amazing place to train!
This place is amazing! From the moment I spoke with Johnny I felt good and at ease knowing my son would be getting into a great gym and have so much support and knowledgeable instructors to help him on his journey to self defense. We went in and right away were welcomed with open arms and the place was very clean! Aaron was super awesome spoke to my son and made my son feel very comfortable, safe and happy. Love the way they teach and how great they are with the kids. My son has tried other places but this one stood out and is definitely the place he feels is for him and so do I. Glad we chose Gracie and highly recommend it! Cynthia was also a total sweatheart!
I absolutely love Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley. Jiu Jitsu has become apart of my life and has improved my confidence in such a positive way. The mat is always clean and was recently improved with additional padding. All of the instructors, Johnny (owner), Aaron, and Dylan are awesome and knowledgeable. I am on my 3rd stripe and I am determined to complete the beginner curriculum so I can enter master cycle. Also, I love that this gym has a ZERO BULLYING POLICY. There is no beating up on the new guy or hazing whatsoever. My wife takes both Women Empowered and Combatives and loves them both. This is street fight self defense, not sport Jiu Jitsu. They will never mention scoring points, so if you want to learn to defend yourself against an attacker in this crazy desert we live in, check out Gracie Apple Valley.
I just had my first lesson today, and I left the establishment feeling so confident and content. The atmosphere is so positive and helpful. Being a new student seemed intimidating in my head, but as soon as practice started I felt very welcome. I honestly can't wait to start my journey here :)

Johnny Vasquez and his assistant instructor Aaron Trobee have helped me break my preconceived notion that I am too old to consistently train in an effective martial art. At 55 I have found a community and a family of like minded people involved in an effective system promoting a positive lifestyle both on and off the mat. Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley is a direct Gracie lineage certified Gracie Training Center (CTC) with the Gracie's Headquarters in Torrance CA. Both of my sons, ages 18 and 12 attend regular training at Gracie Apple Valley. It's very satisfying to see them both emerge from their experiences better humans, better prepared, empowered, and confident. They have both made great strides in these qualities due to Johnny and Aaron as their role models. This place is awesome!
I don't know much about the Jiu Jitsu aspect of this place, as I am not trained, but I do know this: We have been taking my step son here for a year now and it's great. He loves it. Such a positive environment here with a really clean and professional space. Their instructor for the smaller children really understands children and how they learn (Aaron). I think anyone who can get a room of 5 year old kids to pay attention is a saint. So much patience and always knows what to say. Very age appropriate learning as well from things like the techniques they use, to the behaviors they want to encourage back at home. They teach peaceful values and encourage the kids to be their best. The pricing here is very fair as well.

Gracie Jiu jitsu is great, everyone is very friendly, especially their assistant Anita she is very knowledgeable and helpful answered all our questions.

Love the thought that went into this school and these classes. Adults come too and learn advanced moves to help them defend themselves as well. My family loves this gym because of the owner and his ability to treat all of us as his extended family!

Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Apple Valley has been amazing for both of my daughters. My youngest started a few months ago and because of her, my older daughter decided to join. They teach confidence and how to protect themselves while having fun and connecting with the kids.
This place is worth more than 5 stars. The instructor is amazing, he takes his time and makes sure you're understand everything you are learning. The students that are in the classes are very warm and welcoming. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is curious about learning this great art.
This gym has the best self defense classes I've found. From Bullyproof for the kids, to street applicable self defense for adults, they've got it. Even with bad knees, I've been able to work with the instructor and continue learning.
Prices are also low compared to other gyms, plus a ten day free trial.

An absolute life changing experience! Real life street lessons are taught here and you're treated like family from day one. Johnny and Aaron are quite personable, knowledgeable, and take the time to ensure that each student is proficient and successful. I would recommend this place to ANYONE!!!
Excellent instructor, and what I personally mean is Jonny is a real down to earth, easy to talk to type guy. The way he interacts with people is one of a kind. The students and Instructors are super welcoming . Great people to learn from and be around 100% 10-3-17
I have been with this gym for almost a year and it has been the most amazing experience and self defense class I have ever taken. Not only has it helped educate me on what to do in a street fight but it also has given me confidence that I never had. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is an amazing form or self defense that helps teach you what to do of you get into a street fight. The instructor Jonny is an amazing teacher who has a true passion for Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. At this gym you become part of a family.
