I decided to give pilates a try for the first time on a whim about 3 months ago. I have a friend back home who is a pilates instructor and who had been encouraging me to give it a try for years. Although she lives out of state she did a little web research and suggested I give Pure Physique PilateZ a try. I took the intro class from Noelle and haven't looked back since. I am at the studio 5-6 times a week on average. Pilates has become my healthy addiction! Noelle, Valerie, and Laurie are all fun to learn from and the progress I have seen in my overall wellness and physical fitness is a testimony to their knowledge and dedication to their craft. I trust them completely. I never imagined I would see and feel so much progress in a mere 90 days. I take a variety of what the studio offers including classes, private sessions, duets, and workshops. The smaller studio setting being warm and friendly has led to many new friendships in and outside of the studio. I look forward to every class/session knowing we are all there encouraging amd challenging each other in a positive supportive way.
If you are skeptical of cost or schedule like I was initially, all I have to say is it's worth every penny if you can make it work! I have learned the hard way I will pay the price regardless whether its preventively through nutrition/fitness or reactively in doctor/specialist/hospital bills. Although I had grown accustomed to big box gym deals- the quality of the instruction, clean environment, and the care the instructors take in knowing each of their client's fitness needs and goals is priceless. I have never once been made to feel like just another number, $, or pressure sale to hit a quota. The class schedule can be a little limited if you work a 9-5, especially if you commute or juggle a lot of after school activities with your kids- thankfully I have enough flexibility that I can just barely make it to the 5:15 pm classes. The duet and private sessions are great options for those who don't have the flexibility. If the studio decides to offer early morning or later evening classes in the future, I will be one of the first to sign up and will spread the word to all my working friends in an effort to keep the classes going.
