After 4 years of saying "no" to Shane Eddington's invitations to come to Crossfit North Scottsdale, I finally relented back in November 2015. My expectations were (i) being pushed too hard, (ii) risking injury due to unfamiliar movements, and (iii) frustration. Instead, what I got was (i) extraordinary emphasis on safety and injury prevention, (ii) consistently helpful coaching from every single coach I've encountered (not an exaggeration), and (iii) great satisfaction with overall strength and mobility improvement. The sense of community with the other members was an unexpected bonus. If you are a naysayer to Crossfit, or on the fence about changing from workouts in a gym to the comprehensive body movements of Crossfit, take on a challenge or a trial, but give yourself 2 months to adjust to the regimen. It doesn't get easier, you just get stronger.
