I started here at the beginning of the summer with my mom and one of my sisters. They were both looking to get into exercising regularly again after some time off, and I was trying to figure out how to stay fit and gain strength having dealt with recent injuries. I was nervous about the limitations of working out while avoiding further injury, but the reformer work really kept my joints safe and while I still have to do physical therapy, Club Pilates has been a big part of helping me to exercise without straining my back, neck, or knees.
Additionally, I love how affordable Club Pilates is. I have always been interested in pilates, but generally the cost is so high it wasn't feasible to make that my go-to workout. Part of Club Pilates' mission statement has been to make pilates more affordable for everybody, and as a college student I really appreciate it.
Finally, I love how open Club Pilates is to people of all ages and ability levels. I know that when my family and I started coming we were anxious about feeling as though beginners weren't invited. Lots of specialized exercise programs/gyms make it hard for new people to jump in and can be really intimidating. But we all felt really welcome and not having to worry about feeling judged has really allowed us all to feel comfortable focusing on what we want to get out of our workouts instead of worrying about the people around us.
It has been such a welcoming summer at a great price and we're all excited to stick around!
