This was the worst mistake I've made in gym selection. I took the bait with the 30 day trial in which they ask for electronic access for billing in the event that you're willing to continue the subscription. In my case, I attended the location 3 times out of the 30 day trial period. This gym is only open until 11pm which does not allow me to access it when I'm spontaneously ready. When I attempted to cancel, the person who does the cancellations, was not available but I was assured that they'd get back to me. They did not! On the 31st day, I was told I'd have to pay $120 to cancel. They're are OK with making you pay for something that they can clearly see that doesn't benefit you. Stay away from such business practices. As of today, I'll be paying $40 per month for the next year for a gym that does not accommodate me!

If I could give this gym a negative 0 I would please stay away they will say anything just to sell you especially with their personal training program. Do not sign up with Jarrod speaking from personal experience. I was promised flexibility on my schedule and was lied to not to mention they do not take the customer into account all they care about is their money even the regional is full if BS

Update -- I received a callback from a supervisor, Kaitlyn, on 11/27. I explained the numerous issues that my husband and I ran into and how upset I was with the profound lack of customer service especially from manager, Justin, on our first visit and then my call on 11/24 as well as the attitude of the training manager. She explained that the policy of a non-refundable last month is outlined in the contract and is able to be viewed on the app, regardless of if clients sign an annual contract or month to month agreement. I explained that I felt first of all it should be advised verbally before anything is signed to give clients the choice to decide whether or not they want to proceed and also we were never advised that we could view anything on the app regarding the contract at first signing or when the contract was changed to month to month. The app was described as more of a way to look at classes available or general information about the club.
Kaitlyn apologized and stated that she would address the issues we discussed. She advised me that based on the experience we would receive a refund, which was honored. I appreciate that she took the time to listen especially considering how frustrated I was and she called on a day I wasn't feeling well so I was even more frustrated than if she had called earlier in the week.
11/24 -- Don't waste your time. Horrible experience with this location. Manager, Justin, was extremely dishonest with myself and my husband when we originally went in to join. Advised us that services with the trainers were at no cost, then when we met with the trainers, the training manager was friendly until we didn't immediately whip out a credit card and sign up for their over-priced training sessions. Had to change the services we had signed up for due to my health, long story short other things happened causing us to need to cancel the agreement period and they are refusing to refund a "last month" charge that was collected on a month to month agreement. Really makes no sense. Now I find out they're tied to Gold's Gym, makes perfect sense since Gold's Gym is the ultimate in dishonesty.

Excellent equipment. My wife likes the zumba group classes. The staff is great and knowledgeable. Get a trainer and go often

Oh my gosh!
Phenomenal service from beginning to end today!
Attempted to sign up over the website on my Android without success however.
Easton followed up with me Midway though the day (9am) and had left before I was able to show up.
Austin helped me wrap it all up, even at 7pm!
Oh and the Kong smoothie is delish!

Most important aspects of a gym for me are cleanliness, availability and variety. For the latter two, this gym gets 5 stars. For every day cleanliness, this gym gets 5 stars. Why the 4 star review? I've watched staff, on multiple occasions working out before or after a shift, not rack their weights. C'moooooooooooon.

I live in Laveen and drive 25 minutes each way to visit this gym. It's clean, spacious, and welcoming every time I visit. The equipment is new and there are a lot of options and plenty of free weights. I hope Mountainside comes to Laveen soon, but until then I'm happy to drive a little longer to enjoy my workout experience.

The Ahwatukee gym is amazing. There is plenty of equipment and the CrossFit area is large enough to handle the 3-6 pm traffic. The daycare is really nice and my kids love it. Very happy with my membership.

I signed up when the Ahwatukee location opened and so far I like it. Clean and the equipment is new. My only complaint is that the music is so loud inside that if I want to listen to my own music workout mix or if I plug into the cardio machine and watch TV, I have to turn up the volume so loud to hear over the music playing that I feel like I'm blowing out my ear drums. I've said something to the front desk multiple times and get the same response that they can't control the volume. Other than that I feel like it's worth what I pay.

I put in for my hold couldn't pay membership I was told it was taken care of it wasn't now I owe them money I was lied to by a staff member. I won't ever come back and I hope no one else does. Make Shure to sign when u do a hold because they didn't tell me just another way for them to make money I would do no stars but dont have an option.

Love the new location. Used to work out at the Chase Stadium location. Ahwatukees location is new and has a larger selection of equipment.

The staff is incredibly nice! The instructors have fantastic energy. I love the variation of classes that are included with membership. This gym has it all, but the best part for me is the childcare center. Kids have the choice of playing in a basketball court, a bounce room, a mini theatre, or play on various game consoles. I have a toddler and infant. My two year old has plenty of age appropriate toys to play with. My six month daughter has an area separate but still in the same visual space as everyone else. There is a monitor nearby the group fitness rooms where I can check on my children. I get a text message if I am needed. The only thing I am bummed about is that there wasn't a bonus, discount, or reward of some kind for referring my friend. Even a free smoothie would have been neat, but it's such a successful gym I can see why they don't need to hand out incentives.

I love this gym! I've always been a fan of Mountain Side so I was excited when this one opened. The front desk is always welcoming, all the equipment is brand new which is nice. The kid care area is pretty awesome, a lot of different options to keep the kiddos entertained. Most of the gals that work in the kid care have been great. The training has been very helpful and my trainer is very knowledgeable. I've enjoyed the classes I've tried as well. I haven't tried the steam room or sauna yet so I'll have to check those out!

Just signed up for the location, but seriously hoping to see some improvements. As another reviewer mentioned, the steam room is very lacking and does not get steamy enough. I also went to the Sauna yesterday and it wasn't even hot... Would like to see better equipment/better calibration of the existing equipment in those areas.
Other than that, the gym has enough equipment and it's brand new! Somewhat of a poor job optimizing floor space/equipment layout (some benches are right next to each other while machines have miles between them), but I imagine that'll improve over time

Is not bad at all but not the best in the area. Nothing compares to Lifetime Fitness. Pros and cons of Mountain Fitness Ahwatukee. Clean, new, plenty of classes. Cons: the Saunas are too small. I was seating at the steam sauna for 10 minutes and the steam never came out. The towels don't dry you. They are cheap quality. The gym seems small compare to Lifetime Fitness or LA Fitness. For a new gym they should have better specials to enroll. Example $1 dollar to enroll for the month of February and not the $79 that they are asking to enroll. 44 bucks a month seems a little high. LA Fitness is 35 dollars and it has a pool, planet fitness is 10 bucks a month is even bigger. I would say $29 A month seems ok for this gym and $29 to enroll. Not 79 to enroll.
