Rock-Star of Pain Management wouldn't begin to describe Dr. Stearns and her amazing staff. Her multidisciplinary approach to patient education positions her above the typical pill-pushing needle jockeys in pain management.

This Office and it's Staff are the most professional and caring group I have ever encountered. Within 10 minutes of my 1st Visit they knew exactly what my problem was and how to fix it. I love Dr. Stearns and her staff.

The ladies at Center for Pain and supportive Care, take time with you and give you options where other Doctors don't! I'm glad I was recommend to this office. I have heard stories from others about how they could barely walk etc and how Dr. Stearns and her staff have helped them get better.i can't wait for that to be me! This is a great staff! Highly recommended

The day I found Dr. Stearns was the luckiest day of my life. I was in terrible pain from a case of shingles and she was able to block the area and erase the pain. A most compassionate doctor with a wonderful manner about her. A fantastic staff in all areas from the front desk to all the people who are a part of her expertise.

There may be a wait to see her but if you are lucky to get her diagnosis then the wait was worthwhile. I am seeing her now for lower back pain and she implanted a nerve stimulater three months ago. I am free of pain. I went from a 9 to a1. How good is that!

I hope she continues to be in practice for many more years. She is the best.

Dr. Stearns has performed a number of procedures on my lower back and her office also offers exercise and yoga classes, all of which have resulted in a significant lessening of my pain. She is very personable and offers no-nonsense, easy to understand opinions and explanations.

When the nurse hangs up on you... Take that as a sign. NO COMPASSION AND CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE. (We have really liked the Dr and the PA) The office is Horrible at returning calls. Two weeks ago at the last appointment, The front desk staff literally berrated an elderly customer right in front of me who needed to pay her copay with a post dated check that apparently they have accepted for YEARS. So RUDE. They screwed up the primary and secondary insurance on our account that we provided to them months ago and did not let us get seen until i helped them figure it out. (Their error) (1hr late) Then today, after hours they return my call from over 48 hrs prior and tell me that no one is there that can help! (The husband had a two day complete fusion surgery 3 weeks ago) The PA is on vacation. The nurse gets on the line to tell me i need to use the portal and then I wouldn't have this problem. She stayed late to help me because they are too inept. Like you staying late to lecture me on how I should feel bad that you are too busy to return calls and that the person who was supposed to handle the calls didn't do it until late last night isn't easy to handle. This is my fault how exactly? Unacceptable. I'm frustrated and now my husband will suffer. The nurse does not care for my frustration nor for my husbands pain and hangs up on me. Not exactly a professional response. Here's hoping that the husband will not detox b/c they can't be bothered to help. It's like they know no one else will service your pump so they don't have to provide any level of care or compassion to my husband. Ugh. Disgusted!!

I have been going to this Clinic for a couple of years now. I really do not like going to the doctors but when you have as much pain as I have , I have to go to pain Clinic. The doctor I seen in the beginning is no longer there. I was really considering going somewhere else. But the Nurse Teddy really has had to talk me down as to consider staying and trying out the new doctor that was being hired. So I have stayed because of Teddy she is always so helpful and honest. When I have called in to complain about something Teddy takes the time to talk to me and take care of any issue I have. She never makes me feel like I am just a pain in the butt. And she always calls me back in a timely manner and does it with respect. Truthfully I would not of stayed this long with this Clinic if it was not for Teddy. If I need pre auth for a med she gets it done that day. If you have questions of any kind about any of your care she will take the time to explain to me what I am suppose to do. It is so important to have faith in your doctor or even the other people in the office which I have issues with some of the rules this Clinic has but Teddy will listen to me and explain there side and why some things are the way they are. Erin is a person in this office that always treats me with respect. So if you want someone to help you with your special needs talk to Teddy if she does not have the answers she will ask someone and will always get back to me either the answers or needs and never makes me or my husband feel like we just want a pain. Believe me I have dealt with many departments in this Clinic and now I start with Teddy she is a big asset to this Clinic. Thank you so much for taking care of our needs. And this is the reason we stay at this Clinic. Just so you know that is why I gave this Clinic 3 stars. And I do not always get my way but I always get the truth and the respect and understanding of why things are the way they are. And now after months I feel I have a little better understanding of my PA. Sorry for rambling on I just want to make it clear if not for Teddy I would of left awhile ago. I want to thank Teddy for everything.

I had a good experience there, especially with Jennifer Kiser, PA. Dr Stearns is all business, but I only saw her for epidural injections, so that was ok. My biggest complaint is they sent my labs to an out of network lab, which cost me $900.

October 19, 2017 10:12

Their just not very compassionate. Especially Dr Stern. With her it's my way or the highway.

October 19, 2017 10:12

DO NOT go to this clinic. They don't care about any of their patients. Patients are referred to as "pump refills." I was given a medication without my knowledge or authorization; no informed consent was signed, by me, either. They fraudulently billed me and Medicare, never posting a single payment I made over a period of >6 years.

Dr. Lisa Stearns & Jennifer Kiser PA-C are the most caring, empathetic, & knowledgeable pain providers I have ever met. Their "whole person" approach to the treatment of pain - never just the physically impacted areas of the body - is the most comprehensive & effective treatment I've ever received. The on-site yoga classes (directed by Julie) also helped me immensely. Julie offers a wonderful range of classes. Some accommodate those of us with limited movement ability, such as Chair Yoga Fit, Cardio Groove, and Restorative Stretch. I am working my way up to the moderate classes such as Core & Balance and Functional Stability, and feeling much better both physically & mentally. Kudos to the team for the Functional Assessment class, as well - most helpful in determining fitness level, mobility limitations, & which classes will be most therapeutic. Julie is a great instructor, and tailors her classes to individual limits. With her help, I was even able to do a yoga class the day after Dr. Stearns performed my medial branch block. Having all these options for pain relief in one place is the icing on the cake. Between the surgical treatments offered by Dr. Stearns, yoga with Julie, & all the coping skills I've learned from my PA Jennifer Kiser (who takes excellent care of me), the Center for Pain and Supportive Care is incomparable for the relief of my back and neck pain.
