I have had an incredibly bad experience at this gym. Let me start from the beginning. Was looking for a gym primarily for my wife. When I first came in I got the typical sales pitch, which I understand. Did not make a decision immediately, but returned a few days later and again met with Tyler, who first gave me a tour of the gym the previous visit. The "Deal" given to me by Tyler was a two for one, as I was so impressed with the class schedule that I wanted to join as well. He said, "He can do this just for me". Typical, you know how that goes. Anyway, it's explained to me that for the initiation fee it could be charged to my credit card, but for the membership, they would need a checking account or savings account number, along with the bank routing number. Immediately that sounded strange to me, but I went ahead and gave them the information a couple days later. Went against my instinct, as it seemed a bit shady. Should have went with my gut. Gave them a $5 initiation fee, along with the yearly one time fee of $40 on my credit card. I was told that once I give them my banking account number and routing number, there would be a pull of $79.99 per month. After the second month of membership, I see another $40 charge to my credit card, which again, was suppose to be a once per year fee. I tried to inquire about it, and no one had answers. Either the employees did not know, and always deferred back to Tyler or was told that they don't see that charge on the computer screen. Finally saw Tyler, and he said that he had "No time to help me right now, come back later." I asked when, what time, and he said "Later, or tomorrow, whenever". This is the type of unprofessional demeanor I saw from the beginning of my dealings with them. The following week I saw Tyler again, and he told me again something the effect that he doesn't have time to help me, he had to "check people in." Meanwhile there were other employees on hand to do simple check ins for members. Again, very unprofessional, disrespectful and you get the sense that once they sign you up, they don't care anymore. All about getting memberships/$$$ I guess. Very disrespectful, I can only imagine the amount of people they basically overcharge/fleece in this manner. Finally I had had enough, told them I wanted to cancel, they tried to talk me out of cancelling I said no. They said they could knock my membership down to $49.99 for two people per month, but at this point, I had received my third month of $40 per month charged on my credit card, on top of the $79.99 they were taking from my savings account. I was being double charged! Anyway, after canceling (which Tyler said he would "take care of for me"), I was told I have one more month to workout and then I'm done. Month goes by, and now I see the $49.99 pull from my account (which they offered me, and I said no to), AND $40 charged to my credit card. It was a nightmare, and took me all day to contact my credit card company and separate bank to explain the madness. Needless to say, they are super shady. It's a shame too, because they have a great facility, quality instructors, but are simply poorly managed. I am sure their are MANY people that don't check their monthly transactions on their credit cards/bank pulls, and are continuing to be taken advantage of by these guys. Shame. Next stop for me is the Better Business Bureau. Stay away folks....
