I used to do yoga regularly before my now-almost-5-year-old came to town. Then going to yoga hit the bottom of the priority list. Well, life, and my peanut, have finally become more manageable and I was able to start going again. I went last Saturday and had a phenomenal experience. I had also just done a first crossfit session a few days prior and was in need of some serious bodywork. First, logistics: what to do with the littl'un? Guess what. They have a 9:30 heated flow class and, at the same time, they have a children's yoga class right across the hall! Perfect! Little person gets a play date and some healthy physical and mental activity for an hour, while mama takes some time for herself! My son loved his class and the teacher, Michele, if it couldn't get better, has experience in early childhood education! My class was fantastic, as well. It was my first foray into heated yoga, so I'm glad they had lovely scented towels on hand, as I had forgotten mine and I sweat like a pig. The heat really helped my tight muscles and my flexibility was dramatically improved by just the end of the session. Tiffany was a supportive, low pressure, soothing and informative yogi, which was appreciated as you can imagine I was a bit apprehensive about how I would do coming back after 5 years away. Additionally, it's a beautiful and clean studio. I am definitely adding this class for both my son and I to our weekly schedule. And rumor has it, there are plans in the works to add a mommy and me class! So glad this little jewel has been added to my 'hood!!! We will be back!!!
