1st day of reopening. Impeccably clean, new mats, new towels, smiling faces & a positive atmosphere. Thank you MSF for being the greatest neighborhood fitness center ever!

I come here in the morning and it's not too crowded. Good music, rather clean facility. Also friendly staff. I like it

Great fitness club. Variety of weights is incredible. Staff is excellent, especially Hannah and Oscar

Unfortunately, this location has gone downhill. Childcare is over crowded and they can't handle the children. Bathrooms are not up to date and don't look Like they are cleaned regularly. And I just learned that after 3 months on a month-to-month membership they charge you an annual fee...on a month-to-month membership! The staff is less than helpful and when I asked for a supervisor i was told that the person I was speaking with was an assistant supervisor and still couldn't help me. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know.

Overall is a good gym, kind of on the smaller side, kind of on the expensive side too . But I do like the towels and coffee being included. Im given them 3 stars cause they charged me 99$ for an annual fee that was NEVER explained to me when i joined, just grabbed me by surprise. So when you add up the 99$ + the 45$ each month plus kind of expensive. I still go cause is so close to my home that it makes sense. But you guys should really be more transparent with that annual fee charge and let people know that its going to happen and when ... NOT COOL to sneak it in!

I was going to wait about a month to form my opinion before I left a review but I feel 3 weeks is sufficient to get the jist. 3 stars and here's why, for the most part it's kept clean, equipment is up to date and most of the staff is very friendly and approachable, shout out to the personal trainers in particular for that. However with the good comes the bad and this Sunday showed the bad. This was the first weekend I've gone since signing up due to missing on Friday because of work obligations and I was not impressed. The weights area and basketball court was an absolute DISASTER weights were all over the floor used washcloths included in that (ew) it smelt like a gym not that clean bleach smell but that sweaty bacterial infection smell, not pretty. Worst part it was difficult to do it exercises because of the need to hunt for equipment and a clean area to set up shop. I ignored all this and went about my workout but when I got to the bathroom to sit in the steam room and realized there were no towels to use because they were all piled all over the shower room I got a little annoyed and resentful that we are paying about $80 and change a month and expect a little more in cleanliness. I get it, people should have respect and clean up after themselves to some extent but weekend staff just seems to give zero f****. With that being said it's not a bad gym, just don't go on Sunday apparently.

Friendly, helpful staff. I'm in town for a couple of weeks and was able to purchase a pass for the duration of my stay. Great facility.

Clean, offers a large variety of workout equipment. One of my personal favorite things about Mountainside Ocotillo is the RIG! Machines aren't really my thing so I take full advantage of the CrossFit section. Seems like a more mature crowd who attends this location, which is super nice. They also have a basketball court and group fitness for all ages.

I'm in town for over a week and had called numerous gyms about short term options. The least expensive option I found was $15 per day. Luckily I called Mountainside Fitness and found out they have a weekly option for just $35! I was so impressed by this. No other gym had this option. This saved me $70 compared to if I had paid a daily fee elsewhere.
The gym itself is great. It's on the smaller side, but seems to have plenty of equipment and cardio machines.
But the best part of my experience was the customer service!
The guy that helped me out, Bradley, was so friendly. He asked why I was in town. When I told him I was here for my son's baseball tournaments, he told me he plays baseball also and we had a great conversation. He looked into a couple of showcase camps he knew about and got me the information for them. He definitely went above and beyond.
If I lived here, I would certainly join this gym.

Great experience, everybody here is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My trainer knows just how to push me to my limits along with making it fun. Would recommend everyone definitely to join this gym.

Very very clean, great class options with awesome instructors, wide selection of wo equipment, fabulous steam room/sauna & wonderful staff.

They've been upgrading equipment. 2 new Freemotion machines last month, and yesterday I saw them pull out some of the old stuff. I think I counted 16 new Hoist machines. Nice!
But because the music is always too loud, 4 stars not 5.

Worst treatment by any gym, EVER. Without warning or any prior notice whatsoever, an
"annual fee" was charged to debit card along with monthly dues causing big problems for me. Went in to speak with Assistant Manager named Derek. I was told that they have "new system and the kinks are still being worked out". I asked him for assistance with this issue and the only thing he would say is he would "try to make sure it didn't happen anymore". Derek acknowledged that notice should be given but ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT compromise with me. I'm more than positive though that if the gym was unable to charge my card that there would be no "kink" in promptly notifying me. Plenty of other gyms in the valley that probably don't have these predatory techniques of sneaking in fees.

I have really come to enjoy this Gym. I have been a member at other gyms in Chandler and "Tukee, but this one has been the best for me so far. I do not need a large fancy facility like a lifetime fitness and feel that this location has everything I need. It has a good balance of free weights, machines and cardio equipment. The staff has always been friendly to me. It does get busy in the late afternoon and early evenings so I do plan my workouts for the off-peak hours.

I've been going here for about 3 1/2 months now, no complaints; love this place. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating. The gym is clean, equipment works....couldn't as for anything more.

Ever since I heard how Jake Gyllenhaal got ripped, I've been visiting Mountainside for more than just a fantastic high pressured shower... which I do stop by at least once a day for. Can you imagine how much $$$ I'm saving by not having to buy Axe body wash... or launder my own towels?

Anyway, word on the street is, that Jake spent hours in the gym, racking up 2000 sit-ups on any given day, prepping for his part in Southpaw. I understand no one is waving $20mil in my face for a leading role, but I'd like to have a toner core, so I'm taking that Jake challenge.

Today, I'm up to 601 sit-ups on the half bosu ball. The trick is to knock them out in sets of 50, and to do each set in under 3 minutes. Just dont squander your intermission between sets. You can throw in some push-ups or whip out your phone and time your max plank hold. And you can set up on the complete opposite side from the free-weights area, so as to avoid feeling shame from your less-manly floor exercises

And I'd like to go on record saying: I'll give serious consideration to any movie role offered, paying 1M or more, whether I've hit the 2k mark or not

I'm a big fan of this place! It's like my 2nd home. I've met some great people here. The staff is very personable. There's plenty of equipment. There's the options of a sauna and steam room in the locker room.
